Practically speaking, protecting your peace in today’s social status and digital crazy world will make you a very unpopular person.

Protecting your peace means saying no to an invitation to a braai with THAT friend.

Protecting your peace means turning your phone off or putting it on DO NOT DISTURB when you’re busy with important work.

Protecting your peace is putting an auto-response on your emails to let people know that they will have to wait 6-24 hours for a response.

Protecting your peace means declining work calls after 5pm NOT MATTER WHAT!

Protecting your peace means being unapologetic about doing what makes you happy irrespective of what other people things.

Some people won’t like this because it won’t always align with their needs, but you can’t let other people destroy that peace.

Protecting your peace in business means setting strict work times and building systems for working and dealing with clients.

Not every client will want to fall in line and follow your systems but here’s a tip for you, those clients who want to be served outside of your systems will end up being the biggest headaches you’ll ever encounter in your business.

No client is worth sacrificing your peace for.
